Profile
- Stephanie Hoekstra is a Wildfire Social Scientist in the Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Branch within the Global Systems Laboratory’s Weather Informatics and Decision Support (WIDS) Division. Prior to GSL, Stephanie worked in the Weather Program Office in grants management and the transition of research into operations as well as in academics at UCLA. Her work focuses on partner decision making, risk perceptions, and hazard communication, as well as weather product improvement using user feedback.
