Research Scientist at CIRA, Colorado State University


Liaofan is currently focused on the implementation of ensemble forecast sensitivity to observation impacts in NOAA Global Forecast System and Rapid Refresh Forecast System. In addition, he continues to spend efforts in the following research directions: (1) strongly-coupled
land-atmosphere data assimilation, (2) land-atmosphere coupling and interaction, (3) radiative transfer modeling and data assimilation, and (4) hydrologic streamflow modeling.
