Profile

Jamie Vickery is a Research Social Scientist and the Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) Branch Chief within the Global Systems Laboratory’s Weather Informatics and Decision Support (WIDS) Division. Her background is in sociology, with a focus on social disaster vulnerability, qualitative and mixed method study design, risk communication, and decision-making. Her work draws upon applied research, evaluation, and culturally responsive methods as mechanisms for bridging scholarship and practice to center and address key partner needs.
