Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland, I became interested in meteorology at a very young age. I pursued this interest after high school, obtaining three degrees (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.) at Penn State University. At Penn State, I worked with Dr. Fuqing Zhang on tropical cyclone modeling. In 2015, I began a postdoctoral position at CIRES, and have remained ever since. My research at CIRES has mainly focused on subseasonal prediction, and I always find myself dabbling in surface layer parameterizations.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with current events, listening to old-time radio shows (1930s-1950s), and — most importantly — spending quality time with my wife, daughter, and dog.
