Jamie Vickery

Jamie Vickery

Jamie Vickery is a Research Social Scientist and the Decision Support Research and Evaluation (DSRE) Branch Chief within the Global Systems Laboratory’s Weather Informatics and Decision Support (WIDS) Division. She is currently serving as the Acting Deputy Chief for the WIDS Division and supporting Fire Weather Testbed activities. Her work draws upon applied research, evaluation, and user-centered methods to understand the decision spaces and weather information needs of end-users, including but not limited to: NWS meteorologists, emergency managers, and fire partners. She works to apply research and evaluation findings to create evidence-informed recommendations for enhancing weather decision support in service of these end-users.
