Isidora Jankov

Isidora Jankov

My research has primarily focused on ensemble-based data assimilation, the design of ensemble forecasting systems, and ensemble statistical post-processing. As part of this work, I have been extensively involved in the development and testing of stochastic physics within the HRRR Ensemble (HRRRE) and the HRRR Data Assimilation System (HRRRDAS), supporting both data assimilation and forecast applications.

In recent years, my research has increasingly focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to advance the capabilities of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP). This includes exploring AI-driven approaches to enhance ensemble forecast guidance, improve data assimilation efficiency, and develop more robust statistical post-processing techniques.

Overall, my AI-focused research aims to intelligently augment traditional NWP systems, bringing greater adaptability, scalability, and precision to ensemble forecasting.
